1. No Purchase Necessary. The “Escape with Twinings” Contest (the “Contest”) begins October 15, 2011 at 12:01 a.m. EDT and ends on February 28, 2012 at 11:59:59 p.m. EST (“Contest Period”).


2. To enter, go online to www.winwithtwinings.com during the Contest Period, and enter the required information. Limit of one entry per person/per household address/per email address.  If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than once during the Contest Period, all of your entries will be void. Entries received after February 28, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. EDT will be considered null and void and will not be eligible. Entry forms shall be subject to verification and shall be null and void if they are found to not have been submitted in accordance with these Contest rules. 


3. This Contest is open to only legal residents of Canada, who are over the age of majority in their province/territory of residence by February 28, 2012, excluding employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of Twinings North America Inc. (the “Contest Sponsor”), Shoppers Drug Mart Inc., the Associate/Owners of Shoppers Drug Mart stores and the Affiliate/Owners of Pharmaprix stores, their subsidiaries, and their respective affiliated and associated and related companies, advertising and promotion agencies, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releasees”) and the independent judging organization. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. 


4. The chances of winning depend on the number of valid online entries received during the Contest Period.


5. There is one (1) prize (the “Prize”) available to be won, consisting of a trip for two (2) adults to San Francisco, California. The Prize (trip) will be coordinated by San Francisco Travel (Canada Office) and must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, altered or exchanged. Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.


The Prize includes:
• Return economy class airfare for two (2), from a major commercial international Canadian airport nearest to the winner’s home to San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco, California
• Three (3) nights hotel accommodation (one room based on double occupancy) at the Parc 55 Wyndham, San Francisco, California
• Two (2) attraction city passes (to be used in the city of San Francisco, California)
• One (1) x five hundred dollar ($500 US) shopping certificates from Macy's department store


Not Included in Prizing: meals, gratuities, ground transportation, hotel taxes, air taxes and surcharges, shopping purchases or any incidentals of a personal nature.

• There is no cash surrender value for the prize.
• Travel is subject to availability and must be completed by February 20, 2013.
• Approximate retail value of prize is $3,500 CDN based on a Toronto departure.
• Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are responsible for obtaining and providing official identification documents such as a passport prior to travel and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements.
• It is recommended that Prize winner and his/her travelling companion obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure.


6. An independent contest organization will make a random draw for one (1) Prize in Toronto, Ontario on March 9, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. (EST) from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Selected entrant will be notified by email within one week (seven days) of the draw.


7. The selected entrant will be required to correctly answer, unaided, mathematical, skill-testing question which will administered by email and sign and return a Declaration and Release of Liability and Publicity agreement before being named the winner. The potential winner must agree to the use of his or her name, photo, city of residence, voice and/or statements without compensation other than the prize offered. Failing a response from the potential winner within fourteen (14) days of the draw the potential winner will be disqualified and another potential winner will be drawn.  If the selected entrant answers the skill-testing question incorrectly or refuses to sign the required forms, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected. No potential winner will be permitted to obtain any prize without signing all the required forms. Travelling companion must have reached the age of majority in his/her province or territory of residence by February 28, 2012 and will also be required to sign and return a Release of Liability and Publicity agreement prior to the issuance of travel documents. Once confirmed as a winner, winner should allow six to eight weeks before travel for delivery of Prize tickets.


8. If the identity of an online entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant.  The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder.  A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry.  All entries must be submitted from a valid email account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest Sponsor's server machine(s).


9. The Contest Sponsor's rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to this Contest and the awarding of the prize.


10. All entries become property of the Contest Sponsor.  The Releasees assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, illegible or misdirected entries or entries that have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy the Rules or for failure of the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.  The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, subject to approval from the Régie in Québec, to cancel or modify this Contest should a virus, “bug” or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsor corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws.  Should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.  The Releasees are not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest.


11. By entering this Contest, entrants release and hold harmless the Releasees from any liability in connection with this Contest or participation in any Contest related activities or, if declared a winner, the use or misuse of a prize.  This Contest will run in accordance with these Rules, subject to amendment by the Contest Sponsor. Contest Sponsor reserves the right, subject to approval from the Régie in Québec, to cancel, amend, modify or terminate this Contest or the Rules at any time in its sole discretion and without further notice.  Entrants must comply with these Rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the Rules if they participate in the Contest.


12. In the event of any discrepancies between the English language rules and the French language rules, the English rules shall prevail.


13. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Contest Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Province of Ontario without regard to Ontario conflicts of law principles. All entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the Province of Ontario.


14. For Québec residents: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.


15. Unless entrants otherwise indicated, the personal information gathered about entrants in the course of this Contest will be used solely by the Contest Sponsor for the purposes of the administration of the Contest and in connection with any publicity relating to the Contest.
